So down with Edwardian. I'm not really a cap toe person, with preference towards wingtips, but the Asquith in Edwardian totally works.

All three colors would work well. The detail of the shoe's design would be more noticeable in Ed or Doak than nightshade.

The 202's are MTO, the others from Leffot. They're the same size, but the 64's didn't fit.

^^ I love the colouring - is that midnight?
I remember having my hands on a pair of Oundle monks in that colour at the London sale. Regret putting them back and torturing myself by catching up on here and seeing beauts like these. Sigh.

    Gentlemen -

I may be acquiring my first pair of EGs. Can anyone help me size the 888 last to an Alden last (be it Plaza, Aberdeen, Grant, Barrie... whatever)? It would be very helpful.

I go 12D in just about every last (I haven't done it, but I think I could go 11.5D on Trubalance).

Going the same size in every Alden last is a bit unusual. Which size in which last fits you best?

Is the Nevis more expensive than the Halifax, or are they the same price?

Halifax is less expensive. Im planning to do a MTO Halifax in Utah brown leather and might go for haf sole. Anything that sounds intressting?

Assuming 12D Barrie is a great fit, then I'd suggest 12/12.5E (UK/US) in the 888 last.

I use the same measurements; however, note that EG will have an overall "snugger" feel compared to the Barrie.
