    Thank you Gents! I'm really pleased with the way they came out. Happy to have the trio complete.

    @MrVenneri The shell Galways are looking even greater with some wear! And you wear them well.

    Maiden voyage on the suede Dovers yesterday with my fiancée.

    EG prices increases are mirroring Alden's pattern the last 5 years...

    @Allen Dreadmon Thanks Allen! That was their maiden voyage btw, haha. I moved my Shellways from GF to fund that MTO. I like doing my own thing.

    @SuitedDx@Nikola Happy to hear!

    Just in a small handful of years prices have incremental increases. Raw materials, popularity, and other reasons are likely the causes but I remember when EG was easily in the MSRP $800 range for standard shoes. Alden has been increasing regularly too with their #8 shell shoes in the low $500 and now around $700 I think.

    It's a profitable business mode for them.

    Everyone has gone up, CJ, Alden, E.G., GG, Carmina, JL. Now the sub 1k value proposition is mostly with small Italian manufacturers and Spanish (before they got famous like Carmina)

    Have secondary market prices for NIB shoes/boots from those same companies gone up commensurately?

    That is just for a shoe in a regular stock leather, correct? Like say a Chelsea in Tobacco suede, single sole, etc. would run the standard price plus GBP 240.

    Wow! I remember I bought my 975 for $575 a handful of years ago! I mean there's inflation but the shoe companies are definitely racking it in with the recent popularity of dressing up. Many took a hit I think in the "casual Friday" movement. It those that survived are thriving.

    E.G. Had their rough patch even before but recent direction has brought business back.

    Are you close to Boston ever? I have them all to look at. Otherwise, let me know the tone and I'll post the range of options

    Please see this post, there are only three EG suede colors but I hope it will help a little bit. Also suede colors are very difficult to photograph accurately so you should visit Boston :D the weather here is finally getting nice.

    Here is my post http://www.styleforum.net/t/338047/...s-rubinacci-official-thread/7065#post_7591359 and here is the picture of some Eg and G&G suede colors

    Well without Styleforum around for a few days to distract me, I ended up placing an order for my first pair of Dovers. :eek:

    Though I could rationalize using a pair in essentially every configuration in which they are currently offered (except for black calf), for my first pair I ended up going with the traditional Dark Oak and HAF sole. :D
