Glad to see I'm not alone with my black flannels today. Nothing else seems to look as good with my grey green jacket.

Black wholecuts to match. OT pic, since they aren't EG

^^ Very elegant...did you buy from Unipair?

I'd imagine one has to be super careful polishing these so the canvas does not get any wax on them.

Not an EG in sight at RL Beverly Hills. All shoes in this display are made in Italy.

Interesting that this is the exact set-up in the RL mansion here in NYC.

They have been minus EGs at the mansion for awhile now. I don't think it was completely down to zero, but the available models were not new. It was mostly Italian with some G&G.

I mentioned some time ago that they are ending the relationship with EG, according to a SA at The Mansion.

Hope your Easter is warm and wonderful. My first pair of Shannon boots, I just cannot explain how beautiful the colour is when you look at it in the flesh. I cannot be happier! [IMG]

The only edge Brits have is their heritage. Manufacturing? Pfft...

Nice! I also wanted these but I had Wigmores so I reluctantly did not buy them; I do have the other 2 Hardy Amies collaboration Shannons. I Still want these!

For some, well fitting lasts combined with specific styles/designs that satisfy preference. There will be a market for many various manufacturers.

All the shoes in the display appear to be made by Silvano Sassetti. Last spring and fall they had a few EG models displayed - a Dark Oak Grant, a pair of Black Edens. Now nothing.
