As for the H&M, you'd probably be best served by going to a store first and deciding on which model fits you best, and then looking for it online.

Unless you already know you want an H&M suit, as long as you're at the mall, you might as well go hit all the stores and see what works. There are plenty of things in that price range.

good point. i'll probably go to H&M and try some out (heck, might even end up buying it from there).
But just wanted to know if those are real H&M suits those guys are selling? or are they just using the "H&M" name to sell some suits.

Honestly most H&M locations do not have their full line of men's wear. The suits are generally Cotton or some Polyester blend. I've only found their larger stores to carry their 100% wool suits (not separates). Last I checked, a 2 pieces 100% wool H&M suit will run you about $250 USD.

If I were you, I'd check out a J. Crew as their Ludlow is a similar cut with generally better construction and material.

Don't bother with those Korean suits... the cut is atrocious (shoulders!!!!) and the material is sub-par - Standard Materials : 70% Polyester, 30% Flax

Those H&M sellers look like they may be selling the H&M separates which are pretty much crap and won't look anything like the images they use.

I will look into Jcrew.

i'm looking to buy a gray slim fit/fitted suit. looking to wear it with a white shirt and skinny black tie and black shoes. what do you think about this look?

Also, my budgest is about $300 (give or take $100).. any recomendations on where to look?

I am personally not fond of the look, but it's up to you, of course. If that is what you're looking for, than the J Crew Ludlow is a perfect choice. I think it might be a little higher than your price range, at least in wool. Not sure about the price for cotton - might be close to your price.

i'd definitely consider any recomendations. I'm not stuck on the idea of a gray suite, with a white shirt and black tie. what do you think is more appropriate? its a summer time, outdoor wedding. black slim suit, white shirt and black skinny tie? thanks!

I just meant that I am not a fan of skinny lapels and skinny ties on suits. But that is just my personal preference. Don't let my opinion sway you if you like the look. I do think that J Crew is a bit on the pricey side for what you get, but I'm not sure of the alternatives in that price range and style. And one big benefit is that you can try it on and/or return it if you don't like the fit. I think Whitelashian has given some good advice. I might go take a look at BR, especially since they always run sales. But if the J Crew has the look you want, it is decent quality and there's nothing wrong with it in that range.
