Yes, yes, yes. Those PTBs are fantastic! Really nice. I just listed my shortwing Marlows if anyone is interested. Just spent way too much cash over the past few months on shoes so trying to recoup some.

Just want to say props for a very fair price... some SF member is going to get a great pair of shoes at a great price without the 4 month wait...

Hmm...You should ping her if you don't hear anything soon. I was notified Friday morning and had them by EOD Monday.

Super versatile shoe! Perfect for warm weather.

Thanks! Was worth the effort and wait.

I missed the wheeling in the Warlow Pembroke... the Lindrick double leather soles had wheeling. Hard to tell on the new Marlows from recent images..

Yeah I think I'm going to just live with the extra cream and leave both Lindricks and Marlows alone for ~6 months. Let time do it's work.

Also your Warlow look a bit lighter than the initial pictures IMO, though that's probably just the outdoor lighting.

I saw you mention loving Rancourt's caramel shell (Rocado I believe?) - how's the shade compared to the current C&J Whiskey? Might consider their belt if its a reasonable match/complement (though ideally I'd like to support Deusis).

I think the Warlow looking lighter is just due to the outdoor direct sunlight.

Rancourt's shell loafers are Horween I believe. Occasionally they use Shinki Hikaku for belts. The caramel shell has slightly more reddish/orange undertones. I don't have a lot of side by side pics, but this one may help.

My left caramel loafer is a bit lighter/paler and probably closer to the Warlow. IMHO I think the caramel belt would be a close match.

For comparison, these are two similarly styled photos in similar lighting.

    Thanks!

Yeah the caramel's clearly got its own character. Might have to grab those loafers with a belt in time for summer.

The Warlows look exquisite in that second set! I'm hoping for a shade like that!

Does C&J offer anything in between whiskey and the dark brown cordovan? Similar to a Horween Ravello or a Carmina Cognac?

Sadly no. Really wish they did. Or natural, for that matter.

The Lindrick did not have wheeling. Neither did the Warlow 2.0.

This brown Marlow also has no wheeling.

There is an effect left on the welt by the machine as the welt, middle, and outsole, are lock stitched into place. I noticed it when first unboxing the Lindricks but it is definitely not wheeled in the traditional sense, no.

I am prety sure this this a wheeling on my Lindrick from the last batch. I can compare to my RL Marlow, it is the same and definitly not like the last C&J Marlow and Warlow.

Rancourt uses Horween Shell Cordovan - yes. But keep in mind they purchased Unglazed Natural Shell Cordovan and dye it all themselves so I wouldn't try to compare their colors to any of Horween's standard orfferings. They should be close but won't be exact.

I just heard from C&J that the whiskey Lindricks from the GMTO last December that I organized are in, and they will ship out the Tuesday after Easter.
