Dude, I just about got crushed in an avalanche of summer shoe boxes when I pulled these out of the stack.

So I was misremembering the Rhetts. Rhetts have the red/navy ribbon. I was thinking of a pair of Polo Rancourt loafers I've also got but with green/navy ribbon.

Ha! I actually wouldn't participate in the GMTO as they will only do 1 width on them. I was merely trying to be helpful... I actually do not regret selling them as it paved my way to get an Alden Cigar Indy Boot in, most importantly, a B width. But I am glad to see that they have a happy owner and are being treated well... :)

Haven't worn these in about a month. I think they've finally broken in!

Congrats on getting them broken in! The Marlows typically have very thick soles, so that is no small feat...

All my Marlows are 8.5, so I think this would be too big for me anyway. I think my threshold on those, as pictured, would have been $200.

Had to break out the Lindricks today with all the recent posts. Conditioned with Lexol and finished with a final coat of VSC, actually loving the results of the Lexol conditioning.

Lexol is underrated ... Love it here in the super dry Sonoran Desert. Good stuff.

I've never used it on shell and always stuck to standard Mac or Mike method for cleaning routine but I think it turned out great and hydrated the shell beautifully with no darkening. I actually did my AE Tankers, AE Strands and Dundees with the same Lexol/VSC routine in the past few days. Now to muster up the courage to do it on my whiskey shell haha.

^ I think people in general get too buggy about shell cordovan care. Mailmen wore shell for a reason... You can beat the hell out of shell without impunity .. Yes it's beautiful, but, I purchase shell over Calf for a reason... Lexol has NOT darkened any of my shells Whiskey included. Disclaimer.. I live in a super DRY climate.
