I'd get the PTBs if I were you, but there are people that have both boot and shoe wingtip.

I found the lindricks and sw marlows to be redundant. But, they're both awesome.
Ideally, you could find them in different shades. Light sw and dark boots....

You should consider the ptbs if you already have the boots.

Since you have the Lindrick, get the PTB, for sure. :nodding:

Count me as a Lindricks + Marlow owner (in that order). I can see where most observers would see them as redundant, but I really don't. I reach for the Marlow when I want a chunky, budapest'er kind of shoe while the boot plays a whole different role. Granted, I'm probably romanticizing more difference in them than there really is, but isn't that half the fun?

I'm not a PTB fan, but that puts me in the minority - so for the rest of the more normal world, I don't disagree with this.

How you going to get the PTB? Do stores still stock them?

What's the consensus for fit/last on the PTB? Are they the same or comparable to the Marlow WT? I've seen pictures earlier in the thread comparing the PTB blucher to the Alden Barrie lasted PTB, but did not find it to be particularly helpful since I don't own any Barrie lasted shoes.

The wingtip and PTB are the same last and fit the same.

I saw them at the Mansion in the winter. From what I recall, they stock instore, but not online.

I have always wondered why they don't stock the PTBs more widely in stores, or online for that matter. What's the going rate anyway?

Think they are the same price as the wingtip shoes, $850?

Are the PTB actually still available? For some reason I assumed it was remaining stock and that it was sold out a while ago. If so, I may need to give RL a call and see about one in my size! Is it the same last as the marlow wingtip?

IMO, the Marlow SWB and Marlow PTB are the best brown shell SWB and PTB on the market. :nodding:

Yes, that is the MSRP. But it's worth timing the purchase to a sale IMO; so really I was asking what can they actually go for on sale?
