It's unlikely that those are really 'hand-made' at that price. As has been noted here and elsewhere many times recently, Santoni have massively increased production and lowered their standards at the same time. They've basically given up trying to be clear about what is what in their lines and now call pretty much everything 'Fatte e Mano' simply as a marketing slogan not a statement of fact about a particular line as it used to be.

Either way it's a nice looking shoe for that price

Meh. Santoni's regular shoes are the same kind of quality range as the upper end of Allen Edmonds or Loake 1880 and now at a similar price with the sale - i.e. they were previously way overpriced (which is what you can try to get a way with when your are relabelling maching-made shoes as 'Fatte e Manoa'). And I think they've shot themselves in the foot with their dubious practice - if you look on ebay, there are now always endless discounted NWT Santoni shoes in this kind of price range.

True. Older high-end Testoni shoes, if you can find them, are really nice.

Agreed… and they are crazy over priced especially when I see them at Nordstrom's. Although when I occasionally find them at The Rack for $100 I think they're pretty good.

Only the true top line of both brands is worth the trouble of considering. Testoni's "Amedio Testoni" line still has some very nice shoes & the Santoni "Limited Editions" are as well made as any RTW on the market.

These are actually by SF member Brianpore.

He's got them listed at a cheaper price in a thread on the B&S forum, along with another pair of Marlows in a 10.5 and several other pairs of cordovan shoes.

If you are referencing the link above, to that eBay page, that is not Brian's listing.
