That briefcase is totally battered. You're really going for that? I don't think it can be restored significantly...

    +1 Trust me. I know.

Others seem to be joining in to this low -start- auction- no- reserve trend for Lobbs.

John Lobb Bloomsbury UK11.5E 8000 Brown Calf

Same seller has a few other sizes as well - all marked Rs; he's made a trip to the Lobbs store and is probably trying to subsidize his trip to Engerland.

And someone seems to have made the seller an offer they couldn't refuse....

Hidden lacing on bluchers w/ one lace hole at the top? I think hideous is being kind.

That is pretty silly. Fix the eyelets and add a leather sole and they would be pretty nice.

agree, I think they will go over $450.

    Couple of reasons:
    - I thought the whole "1000 mile heritage" shtick was half made up. I am really impressed that these look very similar to the current ones
    - they are deadstock but still wearable (advertised as "Stay soft" and holy shit, they weren't kidding)
    - they are shell (even if not very visible)

PS if I were Wolverine Co. and didn't have a comparable archive of this shoe, I would authorize an intern to buy it for up to $1000

sold, for $500 (not to me)

haa, I saw that. I was bidding on the size 11 pair that sold for $426. I think whoever was bidding on these 2 pairs was determined to have them.

Not affiliated: Anyone here interested in Alden Lace Up Derbies in 4.5EEE?

I have never seen an Alden in such a small/wide size

$9.00 for new Aldens? Someone got a bargain. [IMG]

Wish I saw this earlier ... they would probably fit my three year old or my one year old (at one time, anyway).

Ah, but they got dealt a rough hand in life with feet that size - they're welcome to the occasional lucky break!
