    Real pros harvest.

Also, haven't seen any sperm ties yet...I'm disappointed.

I'm wearing a sperm tie today:

He doesn't own black shoes and his khakis are at least 5 inches wider on the bottom. Pfft.

This is the creepiest thing on the Internet.

Pot-emara, don't call the kettle creepy.

    Things I learnt about iammatt
    - his wardrobe is very, very different from mine - it was a major stretch to even come up with this very vague approximation.

Isn't that sort of part of the point? It forces you to think about and combine your clothes in a different way and requires you to understand how someone else thinks (or doesn't, as the point was made) about dressing. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery...
    I think it's a really strong effort H.F.

PS - I plan on delivering a sperm tie later this week...

matt's khaki would have been shorter and wrinkled! That's one of his trademarks, no?

Just to be absolutely clear: the sperm tie photograph above is NOT a contest entry. It is simply a photograph with a sperm tie in it.

I already threw down my contest photo: the patch pocket solid suit and striped blazer.

    Top that, dorkwads.

Consciously putting together an iammatt "look," while a premise of this contest, is simply breathing my fumes. I deliver without even trying.

Aren't you just passing off an iammatt photo as yourself?

We're all missing the requisite Iammatt components to pull this off. Iammatt and every other forum member wears patch pocket tweed jackets and two-inch cuffs.

No blue chambray shirts and no patterned linen squares = auto-fail.

But you could substitute Black Fleece OCBDs.

Ha, that's true; you're entirely screwed. But, do you really want a Rubinacci tie in the first place? I can't imagine it making sense with any of your outfits.

Are you trying to explain and rationalize that, after all, you're NOT emulating iammatt since your pocket square and shirt steez is so distinctive? Smart tangent - but we're not that easily fooled

I have a kiton jacket in a really obnoxious blue color, but does matt wear 3 patch pockets or only 2? I don't want to waste my time

matt gets his inside pockets and pen pocket as patches too. He wears patch tighty whities - can get a little messy but worth it

Sometimes I say what I think without having an underlying self-promoting agenda. Anyway, my shirts aren't that different from his, but my shirts aren't that different from most guys' on the forum. Who the heck doesn't wear blue shirts? Or OCBDs?

I think the main difference is that he dresses more blended and I dress more contrasty. Also, he has way more cool stuff to play around with.
