180 for all-white low-top Achilles is a good price. Even during the $99 Theory frenzy, they were either Achilles mids, high-top Courts, etc.

i always feel gipped buying lowtops... less leather for the same price! i might as well buy highs/mids and cut off part of it... i pay the same price and get some leather out of which i can add trim to a jacket or something

I really prefer the original Achilles to the new ones with the gum soles.

Can't wait for some of those ugly new models to go on 50+% sale next summer.

Okay, I like those red/blue on white ones there. Kinda like Sperry Stripers.

I'm not sure that I can get that enthused about the Vans Era styles.

I like the white w/ gummy soles and the grey w/ gummy soles, I also like the lower profile sole. The colored one reminds me of Vans too much.

Agreed. Don't dig the gum soles at all.

The Achilles must be one of the most uninspiring and cheap-looking sneakers in its price bracket.

    German Army's and vans..

Then again, I'm wearing cap toes which many people get confused with chucks. Hope the prices didn't rise again for this season

Yeah. The non-optic whites, imo, are the easiest to wear. I like CPs, and I really like the Achilles, in theory, but they don't have a really defined shape, and with the wrong pants, can easily look like old orthodontics - which I guess is cool if you like old man steez.

What the Fok!? You suggesting that the hard-earned results of my profession is not beautiful? [IMG]
