I like that design, opening from the side so you can hold it like a duffel. If the straps were removable, it'd be even better.

I paid around 200 definitely worth it.

About the bulkness. Not overly bulky. I guess you could say its bulky but its sexy bulk, guess the shape takes away the negativeness of bulkiness

    Makr Farm Ruck Sack

I use this (mine is the brown canvas version) when biking to campus. Highly recommend it.

It looks as though the side have holds for bottles. Is this correct or is that just how they stitched the bag?

Yeah, there are pockets on each side of the ruck sack. They aren't huge, though. For reference, I carry around this 17 oz Zojirushi mug and it's a perfectly snug fit.

I think you just sold me on this bag. I've been looking for a great looking bag with bottle pockets cause I take a mug & water bottle with me to all my classes. My mug is roughly the same size as the one you have so I think the pockets will be good enough for me. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, leather isn't my style in the brief either. Don't listen to all this 'business looking' nonsense. A good briefcase just looks more 'professional' in my opinion. Just don't get the super slim one that is only good for a notepad and some pens.

Here is my Porter. Perfect amount of room for a laptop, a couple books and whatever else I need.

Guess I'm shit outta luck then. You wouldn't happen to know any online sites that would carry something similar, would you?

you're going to look like you're playing dress up if you wear some of these around a college campus.

I'm partial to the ever-so-popular Dakine and Northface backpacks. You'll look like a normal college student and you'll actually have a practical backpack vs. a satchel.

More like hard-core pea-cocking and to be truthful I don't care enough about what people think about what I wear at long as I like it [IMG]
