Hey guys, I'm looking for a pair of brown casual loafers or driving moccasins. I'm essentially a complete shoe newbie so please bear with me. I'm dealing with a budget of $200, and there are a few Allen Edmonds I've found that look good. My only concern is that in a few threads I've looked at, a few people have said driving moccasins don't last all that long, so is there a noticeable difference in quality at this price point or should I just get something under $100 if they aren't going to last a terribly long time? And what exactly is it about driving mocs that makes them wear out so fast? Are the soles thinner than other shoes? It's mainly the styling that has me interested in driving mocs. Functionally, they'll just be casual shoes that I'll wear everywhere, and I'll probably be wearing them 4 days or so a week so they'll get quite a bit of wear. Also, if you could recommend some good brands to check out in either price point, that would be great. My 3 favorite AE I saw are down below, would they be good picks? Thanks.
