I'd take a 5 wagon over a 3 wagon any day. The 3 wagon makes no sense, it's too small to have much utility or for real use with a family. Plus, I feel like I'm almost at the height limit for 3 series driving. Hard to get into a comfortable driving position.

If you get the 535 wagon then at least you're getting quite a bit more power(along with the space) and I think the 5 wagon looks better than the 3.

Drove several cars today... found a certified A6 for about the right price, low miles. Capacious trunk might suffice. It heads the leaderboard at the moment. I liked the LR3 quite a bit but the 13-14mpg kills it; same for the Q7 which was also rattly.
Bimmers are out- space in the footwell is too cramped for my driving foot amd too spooked at repair costs.

What year is the A6? Is it the 3.0t quattro? They actually generate some decent power, though the car is rather heavy...

It's always good to actually drive a wide range of cars which is what you're doing. The A6 should get about 20mpg around town and upper 20's on the highway which isn't too shabby...especially when compared to the Rover...

If you're spooked about repair costs don't get an older Audi or Land Rover. The Audi being certified helps for sure, but when does that warranty expire?

The older Audis with timing belt, blown turbos, carbon buildup issues etc are thankfully in the past, though who knows with the new bits what will go wrong.

The newer an Audi (or any German) gets, it seems the harder they are to wrench on yourself.

Her car was in the shop for what turned out to be a bad coil and they gave her (read: me) a 2013 328ic to drive for the last 2 days. Whoohooo!!! It's noticeably heavier but that top down feeling was great. The first car I ever bought was a soft top Jeep Wrangler but that wasn't a real convertible. This push button thing is great but I can easily see that **** breaking on me right before a downpour and leaving me stuck with a half closed roof in the rain.

-end rant

AFAIK you could only get a 530 wagon in the States, no turbo models available. Yes the same lowly 3.0 liter motor that powered the 325, 328 and the 330. And yes they all have the same motor with different intake manifolds & software designed to strangle peak hp and torque (esp on the 325). 325 = 215hp, 328 = 230hp, 330 = 255hp

What do you all think of the new Range Rover Sport? At first I did not care for the redesign, but it's growing on me. I drive an LR4 now and absolutely love the traction and driving position but feel a sportier ride might be fun. The regular RR seems a bit large to me and now its tech is outdated!

(I'm waiting to see the BMW '14 X5's too.)

The new RRS hasn't been released yet, the regular RR has though.

Based on pictures alone, the RRS looks more homogenous than the RR.

my bad, saw the gif and did a lazy copy/paste, I guess I saw the M badge but didn't even think of the x6. would love to drive that ugly monster.

I've always been an audi fan and the A6 is topping the list for my next car, might not be for a minute but the 3.0t avant or 3.0t/4.2 sedan at the very top of my list. I'd do the a4 avant but Id like a little more power than the 2.0t and I dont feel like changing a turbo and that whole shitshow
