Really love the new Lexus supercar, the LFA.. [IMG] But if I had to go with something less than $200,000 it would probably be a: [IMG]

The LFA is nice, too bad there will be only 50 of them and they cost three times as much as GT-Rs do.

I can't bring myself to like ze German cars. It's probably because they're like ants here, anywhere and everywhere. Mostly driven by idiots who think their expensive cars give them the right of way in traffic. Mostly base-level with fake badges to look more expensive. I know it's not the car's fault, but I can't look at one and get all excited in the pants. Double for any Porsche. They look like bars of soap.

The current M3 is great, however, and the ones I've seen on the road were driven politely.

I'd like to mention the Dodge Challenger. Sure it's fat and bloated and way too huge and the interior design is horrid but damn if the thing doesn't look gorgeous. It gets several new colors this year, too! If I needed a car for long road trips I would take a Challenger SRT8.

For affordable fun, I am still in love with my wife's VW R32.

Hers is like the grey on the right but with a license plate that reads "VW1"

Erm, Masers and Astons aren't under 80k, last I checked. I think Ferraris, lambos, and McLaren F1s are awesome, but that wasn't the question.

The S5 is a nice car when considered as an alternative to the 335i, but when availability and resulting price are taken in the equation, it ends up competing with the M3. Where the is really no comparison..

I quietly laugh to myself every single time I see an S5 on the road.

I'm not big on Japanese cars in general but the newest Maxima looks pretty good for the price.

The new MB E-class is my personal favorite, though for $15-20k more you could upgrade to the baller S550 [IMG]

There's something about the new E sedan that I don't like, but I can't explain why. On the other hand, I do like the new E coupe. I am also a fan of the S-class.

I've owned an A4... you would take it of your list if you had to deal with the crap I did [IMG].

All of the new Jags? (I think the XK starts around 80k)

While I am pretty partial to the M3, I would have to agree that there are a few Audi and Porsche, and even an MB or two in that price range that I think look terrific. I have to agree with you on Jaguar. Biggest surprise for me was XF, which can be had in the $55K to $75K range:

I can't quite warm up to the S-class (but love the CL), however I agree completely, the E-sedan does nothing for me, but yet I find the coupe somewhat intriguing.

I actually like my new car, an A5, and it was half of 80k.

I'm starting to warm up to the XF, not quite there yet though. I'm anxious to see the new XJ. I saw some nice pics of it while browsing through magazines in Borders over the weekend.

+1, although the only two colors you should ever WANT a Challenger in are orange and white. [IMG]

I actually think there are several very attractive colors available already. I frequently ride next to a black/black on my way home across the bridge and it is a truly badass looking ride.

Saw one yesterday and thought it was a pretty good looking car (or was it because there was a good looking chick driving it [IMG]).
