It seem that in a lot of the photos, the high boots fit pretty loose in the ankle and shin area, even laced tight. Is this common to Carmina boots?

I have that exact problem and I am trying to figure out how to remedy it. I have tried a tongue pad but doesn't help. The laces are almost overlapping because there is too much room in the upper ankle area. Made for someone with cankles. Any suggestions for fixes would be appreciated.

^ I think they are supposed to be this way, especially on the high boot. My Carminas are also loose but any tighter it would become extremely difficult walking up and down stairs

Does the $400 US include shipping and shoe trees?

If memory serves, shipping is an additional 300 SEK, and shoe trees are not included.

I would be interested if it were September. I would love to have the dark brown for fall/winter but I'm currently looking a light tan for spring/summer.

There is a great tan balmoral cap toe on the Rain last at Skoaktiebolaget.

Yes. Tried it on yesterday and it is really nice on the foot. Did not buy it since I was there for the suede chukka. May well get it though...

I need two shoes, a black wingtip (922) and a tan summer shoe. Skoak has some good prices but I need to brush up on their shipping policy. I'm looking at the following but would love to find a single monk in tan calf:

You would be correct, I'm sure the guys at the Armoury shined them before taking a pic.

Good god, that shine is amazing. Quoting without spoiler because this is exactly the kind of post that this porn thread needs.
