I am thinking of getting 2 pairs of shoes; one monk strap (preferbly in black) and one lace up or loafer in brown.

As for monk, I am thinking of Loake Clyde as my pick (lower cost but goodyr welted, calf leather). For lace up I am thinking of Weymouth.

My question is to those who own Weymouth, how versitile is the shoes? Can this shoes be worn with jeans at all? How about when going out, you guys think I can wear this?

Are there any sleek/modern looking whole cut shoes around $300-$500USD range?

    Thanks

According to the Bennies Shoes website, Grenson makes a beautiful wholecut. As for wearing wholecuts w/jeans or other casual slacks, I'd think it could work if the entire look is one of quality and style.

I don't wear mine with jeans but I think one could probably pull it off. Note the Berluti Club here.
