    Hi,

I am contemplating buying a pair of shoes and I happen to like burgundy a lot. However, I am not sure if this color could fit with my a pair slim-fitting black trousers. Some people actually go for brown shoes in these occasions but that's a question on which I am uncertain and I have yet to find a straight answer on that one, even with the search function.

    Thanks a lot!

Burgundy and black is a favorite combo of mine. I've done it with dress shoes and black suits and trousers, and with more casual boots with black jeans. Great color combo in any event. Brown and black, on the other hand, can be done but is far more perilous.

    Regards,

If the shoes are dark burgundy and shined,i think it looks good, and wear it all the time. Make the belt as dark as you can get it.

Remember we have a strict caste system here. And if you wear black slacks you are automatically religated for life to the bottom caste and may never be heard from or seen again!

Not that we could be called prejudiced. Some of our best friends wear black.

What is it with black trouser that is bad? It is a very casual and fashion-forward trouser, not the kind of thing you wear when you want to really dress up. Is there something wrong with diversity?

Oh well, I'll probably grab a navy or beige trouser to please you today. [IMG]

Yes, it's a very sharp combination.
