Way to go Brooks Brothers...bully an sweet old lady cancer survivor who makes soap in her garage. Honestly, what kind of idiots are running the company?

I wonder if the idiots in their legal department would go after larger companies like Brooks running shoes, for example, or do they just pick on the little guys who rarely have the means to afford legal representation.

Looks like they're becoming a trademark troll like Apple Inc. and Monster Cable.

To make it up to her, they should sell her line of soap.

Brooks Brothers filed an opposition at the USPTO (which is something they are legally required to do for any mark that may be confusingly similar to theirs), Bubbles by Brooks filed their motion to dismiss, and, after reviewing the motion, Brooks Brothers withdrew their opposition with prejudice. No one sued anyone. Of course reporting the facts isn't inflammatory (and takes at least 45 seconds of research by someone that understands trademark law), so you won't get that from the media.

Well, it is the Star Tribune, a paper not fond of the facts: it has a very large political bent.

The spin on this article was just too obvious. It looks like a PR release for the lawyers and Bubbles by Brooks.
