Personally I think they go great casual as well with a pair of cords and a sport coat. Thats how I plan on wearing them tonight. Olive cords with a narrow leg opening is what I am wearing them with right now.

The placket doesn't go all the way down, but it does go down far enough.

Hmmm. I may get more pleasure from these shirts than I expected ...

Dear JayJay, Have you been able to find out which last the BF paddock is? The other Peal paddocks of BB are on the 240 last, the photos of which are available in the below link: (except the dark brown boots) http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.p...2&postcount=94 Even if you would not be able to find the last number certainly, when you compare your paddocks with the boots in the above link, do you think that your paddocks are also on the 240 last?

I wanted to get some of their Fitzgerald suits, does anyone think that this sale would be the best time to get them, or wait longer? I've been waiting for some members to list them on the forum for even better prices but I never see any. It just struck me as strange that so many rlpl, and rlbl suits are posted but none of the fitz suits.

I don't think the lasts are the same.

In normal years this was the best price but about 2 weeks ago there were exceptional items like the country club boxers as cheap as I have ever seen them. I think the 598 right now is high in comparison to the past but they produced less this year so if you don't grab it they may be gone.

I wasn't impressed with this seasons suit as much as the past, they went with lighter flannels. I wanted a GF suit for my dad and when I went in to look for one they all seemed pretty limp and boring.

I just purchased a navy duffle coat from the sale today. I went with a medium which fits well in the shoulders and the sleeve length is great. However, there is a little too much fabric in the body; basically, I need the coat to be taken in on the sides I think to slim it down. Is this a fairly easy alteration for a tailor to do? How much can I expect to pay?

Thanks for the help.

I'm sure this varies from each Brooks Brothers location, but I pay $16 to get the sides taken in at the Newbury Street location.

JayJay, Is there a last number indicated within your paddock boots? If so, what is that number? BTW, is it possible that you take and post some photos of your paddock boots?

The photo I posted yesterday of the inside of the boot shows the numbers. However, I don't know how to identify the last number. I'm still out of town so my Blackberry is the only camera I have with me.

I admire their brilliant pricing.

Must have been a big meeting to go from $15 to $16.
