Bottom of tie showing when jacket buttoned

    It's not a major problem. One of the many things that are over-scrutinised, particularly here on SF.


    It's a legitimate issue.
    You don't want people to stare at your waist or crotch (unless you do, in which case you should consider options beyond the suit), and a tie or oven shirt peaking through between your jacket's quarters does exactly that.

    Oh well, almost anything we talk about meets this criteria.

    In any case, while 1 out of 10 non-SF people probably can tell the difference between a balmoral and a blucher, 10 out of 10 non-SF people can spot a tie peaking out, and if you asked those, I bet 5 would say it would look better if the tie were concealed.

    1. Deal with it.
    2. Wear high rise pants.
    3. Wear you tie above the belt buckle.
    4. closed quarters.

    Of the 4 choices, one seems the most palatable to me.
