First up are 9 Holliday & Brown ties. If I had to do a blind taste test without seeing who the maker was on most of these, I would put any money they were Marinella. They are a gorgeous, thick, crisp English silk, and tie one of the nicest knots I have made. The patterns are clean and neat, and they are made entirely by hand. All are brand new with tags. As a general reference, for most accurate color, please refer to the picture with the maker label in it, found under the spoiler tag.

Loved almost every single Polo pattern, but can't get past the width...

6', maybe 6'1" with a very lean, athletic frame. I wear Brooks Extra Slim fit shirts, and even suited up working in finance I just can't handle anything over 3". Personally, I think you have to know what you're working with. A tie wider than 7cm or so looks silly on me. I'm a huge fan of Brooks' 2 7/8" width, not so much the ties. But I have a lot of theirs.

Start doing some lat raises, lat pull downs, pull ups, chin ups, seated back rows, and deadlifts... add some girth to that frame cause if you're that tall and are wearing ties that skinny you must be REALLY REALLY lean (to the point where I would see you and think "damn, that guy needs to eat more").

Obviously this just based off 2 sentences on a forum, but I am actually athletic (broad shoulders, somewhat muscular upper body) and I'm quite short (5'5) but I feel anything under 3.25" looks to "fashion" on me. I have a thick build though, so I feel the 3.25" and 3.5" ties look good on my body (I also wear BB Extra Slim Fit).

Haha. I've done athletics all my life, at college started lifting more for aesthetics than function, am right under 180 with less than 10% total body fat. I'm all about nutrition, you don't have to tell me how to lift. Maybe I'm more comfortable with "fashion" than you. It's subjective. I cannot imagine what a 3.5" tie looks like on a 5'5" guy.

Spoo, could you shed some light on the Holiday & Brown ties? They look very nice, do you know much about the maker, or the quality? Thanks.
