They don't look as weird when they're being used.

Although I can't help but think of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for some reason.

The Polo Gellar cargo shorts are very comfortable and fit so well that I bought a pair of green and stone each over the weekend.

    Highly recommended.

The Gellar Fatigue is nice but they stopped making the black ones and the white ones.

Apologizes for the necrothread. What I like about cargo shorts is 1) they usually come in earth tones rather than loud colors, pastels, or patterned prints; and 2) they go past the knee. I get why so many people dislike them though. They have superfluous pockets and tend to give a lazy vibe because they're often so baggy. I get that, I really do. But men don't have a lot of options. You've got cargo shorts, jean shorts which are equally despised, and then you have whatever these atrocities are:

The above and their ilk are completely unacceptable IMO.

I understand the hate for cargos. They can and have been abused by the masses.

That being said, I can see the merit in them - I'd be interested in seeing cargo shorts used in a streetwear type of aesthetic (much like some cargo pants are being used).

Am I way off my mark in thinking it could work?

@curiocrucible I do think you're really overlooking different short options out there. Not every non-cargo and non-Jean short is some pastel atrocity.

There are plenty of options for shorts in varying lengths (even past the knees) in any color. Places like bonobos offer chino shorts in different styles, colors, and lengths and I'm sure they aren't the only ones doing it...
