Friends or not, the man KNOWS people in the world and/or how to navigate on his own. He found the freaking League of Shadows up in the Himalayas.

Thought it was established that the pit was in Uzbekistan. That's where the CIA picked Bane up in the beginning.

That doesn't necessarily mean that is where Bane is from, Bane just pretended to be captured to capture the physicist. Looks like he has been working in Gotham for years before that even happened.

pretty sure that it had to do with uzbek or that area since it was mentioned repeatedly in the movie.

It's not Ra's prison, it's the kings. Remember that Ra got the princess pregnant and the king was going to put Ra in the pit but he was let go because she took his place? Ra didn't even know where the pit was until Talia escaped and lead him back to it where he found Bane injured and then banished him.

Yes, that sounds familiar. Nothing about the prison being in S. Africa to my memory

I'll tell you where the prison was: In the desert, an ocean away from Gotham.

    Just saw it. Two thoughts:

    1. Bane's voice was easy to understand. Had no problems whatsoever.

    2. That's the worst movie I've seen since Snakes on a Plane.

I'm not going to threadshit and belabor my disdain for the movie. I loved the first two, this one was awful for me. However, it's art after all, and therefore its quality is, in good part, subjective. But I didn't like it.

See, if you had just left it at "I didn't like it," we all could have understood since, as you said, it's a totally subjective opinion. However, saying it's the worst movie since Snakes on a Plane leads me to believe you're just looking to incite a reaction.

I stand by that, but I should clarify that I don't see a lot of movies - maybe six per year in the theater. I do now remember one that I saw in a theater that was worse in between those two - it had Jeremy Piven and Ving Rhames and it was about selling cars. So it's the second-worst I've seen.
