Too slow?! My mom likes her rap well-enunciated and decipherable, thank you very much.

I didn't say he was speaking too slowly, I said the beats were often too slow.

I thought Radiohead was the pinnacle of modern rock when OK Computer came out, but everything they've done after pales in comparison, IMO. I like the newer stuff but it doesn't blow me away.

That should do the trick.

Wow, so you have to force yourself to like them. Like lima beans.

Personally, I think they peaked with Kid A...though In Rainbow wasn't too bad.

* Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

I love so many of their influences (from the trad pop of Velvet Underground & Big Star to the more fuzz-pop of My Bloody Valentine and Jesus and Mary Chain to their supposed alt country-rock turn).

* The Go-Betweens and Kim Salmon

I grew-up in Australia, where it was de rigeur for every wannabe hip indiepopster to love these bands. I never did.

No, you don't have to force yourself. Their music and lyrics aren't appealing to everybody initially, but a lot of Radiohead fans I know got into them once they gave the music some good time and many listens.

I don't care for-

Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
The Who
Rolling Stones

And I am not too fussed about it either.

another one for me is the 5678s

they have the right mix....influenced by 60s garage and 50s rock n roll.....3 japanese chicks......have "a look"

but I just cant get into it, it's too sonically dissonant to me and I cant find the groove

I once felt the same way about Guitar Wolf...

*edited once I realized I haven't listened to them in 10 years

I had thought about throwing in a "and Guitar Wolf" but I actually do like a bunch of their songs, and that band is *so cool* that there's no way I could ever say I wish I liked them more than I do
