You certainly did. Limited vocabulary = limited mental capacity = easy picking.

It is working. I just might try him when I need to topy my shoes.

Just curious . . . does anyone else see the word "float" and immediately think of a turd that needs to be flushed?

I just came here from the Alden thread where float is bad mouthing B. Nelson.
I'm pretty amazed that this tool hasn't been banned yet.
The only person he's making look bad is himself.

Someone has to complain to a mod before a ban is issued I think.

I find it interesting that none of the questions I raised in ITT were directly addressed by Nick whom I've met in person. Perhaps float is on to something...

You gotta give him props for holding out 6 years to troll. That has to be some kind of record.

I never read threads on here and forgot all about this thread for anyone that still thinks they should make a point of talking about my performance in it. To timeline it out so you don't have to talk about it:

I believed I was being overcharged on my personalized quote as I hadn't seen anyone charged for a new welt, I was actually being charged for new welt stitching which is custom and the price I was given was supposedly a fair one considering the extra work involved. It was a misunderstanding. It took a page of disputing just exactly what I wanted done to my shoes to come to this conclusion. Nick's attitude towards my emails were admittedly dickish before I'd entered the thread, I in turn dicked the thread but with an underlying point of levity to show I wasn't such a poor sport. I left the thread.

I'll probably ask Nick again about servicing my shoes when I have some idle time to think about stuff like that. I've been busy. Sorry if I offended anyone. I thought the couple posts about it being staged viral marketing after the initial conflict was a clever way of defusing the previous page and figured we'd just clink our glasses and give high fives and shit like that. Go back to using this thread as intended. Anything involving me in this thread is just an afterthought.

I have to thank Nick for his level-headed reasoning and for his PMing me to answer my questions personally. Not sure if I will overlook the original makers for his shop for resoles but I do like this man's style.

Float, sounds like you've had a chance to step back and look at things. I, for one, am glad you took a moment to post a follow up. I still wish you the best of luck getting your shoes refurbished. Perhaps you will consider posting photos in the appropriate thread when they're finished.

You are not Robinson Crusoe on that point despite all the "adulation" heaped on the guy round here from his cheer squad.

Uppers cleaned and nourished. Communication was prompt throughout whole process.
