Malcolm's suit fits well across the back and shoulders.

What time will it happen? Is Tony rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic? What odds are being offered by Darwin bookies on Malcolm, is he worth a bet? And will Jeff Kennett STFU?

Pessant! Rare Dry Gin with a twist of Tangelo.
Martin Miller is also a nice drop.

Vote should be over by 9pm according to the commentariat.

Here's my take: I don't want a nice guy/gal to be PM. I don't want a person whose policies agree with my own sentiments to be PM. I don't even necessarily want someone who tells the truth all the time to be PM.

I just want someone smart to be PM.

Well, clearly there's nothing like a good leadership spill to get the discussion happening in the Oz Members' thread!

To add to the intrigue of today's events, I seem to remember that, to qualify for the full retirement package as an ex-PM, you must have been PM for 24 months. Tony became PM on 17 (or 18) September 2013, so if my calculations are correct, he's still got three or four days to go before his full two years are up.

I can't help but wonder whether that played into Malcolm's calculations when deciding when to make a play for the leadership...

JM, that calculation is priceless. I hope the Mad Monk suffers in his jocks. I'm a bit the same as coxxy just don't want an idiot there. Now to get rid of Shorten and put in Penny and Tanya.

Atm, I've got something more important to study. On SBS, should I be binge drinking or spreading it out. Or both as I do currently.

Go Albo and lets get Jimmy Barnes to sing The International after his victory speech.

Or maybe we should all relax and let Rupert decide who should be PM (again)!

    Did anyone say Barnesy?

I recently YouTubed a BBC doco on early 70s pop. One of the featured acts was Slade. I realised that Jimmy Barnes' vocal delivery is almost a perfect copy of Noddy Holder's.

Both gentlemen have great pipes but are perhaps somewhat lacking in interpretative nuance.

Oh dear. I'd prefer Barnsey to Bragg. As for Jez. God help us. The alcoholic geography teacher on the job for life and generous taxpayer funded superannuation look on dress and shaving!

But he's sincere and believes in something and is unwavering.
Well woopy do, so is ISIS, cardinal Pell, Syrian govt, etc.

Think you are mistaking this for a menswear forum.

Malcolm will win but he'll still push the same loathsome policies, and be more charismatic about it.
