Same cloth meaning the fabric of the suits being the same or similar but in different colours. And yes, its like you described with the mixing and matching. But it doesn't necessarily have to be the same I guess, as long as you're not mixing like really lightweight tropical wool jackets with heavy FU tweeds, I'd say go ahead mixing it up as you like.

Nice choice on the grey suit btw. The trousers from my grey get worn as separates a lot.

At $3000 I expect that thing to be at least be made of Guanaco and possibly Vicuna. Cashmere should be in the few hundred dollar range not few thousands.

On a brighter note. 1/8/2011. Still winter but we're getting a taste of spring here in Melbourne already! Nice and warm day lets me finally break out some colourful spring wear, finally. Had enough of the dreary winter chill. Had the buttons changed from cheap plastic to smoke MOP (many thanks to apropos again for selling me those) on my mid blue stretch cotton suit jacket. I am now free to rock it today as an odd jacket without an overcoat and wearing some cotton trousers.

    Oh glorious warm spring weather!

Just a quick reminder that if you want to get yourself a pair of AE Park Avenues (or Strands, for that matter), the Nordstrom sale finishes in a few hours. Based on current exchange rates, my PAs will be $259 landed, including a pair of cedar shoe trees. (you could knock that down by $15 if you go without the shoe trees)

Supposedly 6-13 days for delivery via DHL, sounds about right.

Has anyone purchased anything from Uniqlo Online and had it shipped to Aus? (I think only the UK site has online shopping)

Me - walnut chukkas, chinos, navy jumper, blue shirt, red tie, glasses...

I didn't buy anything either. But it was nice to have a wander around; I had no idea how big it was, and they do have great stuff.

I have a Tanner Goods card holder in London Tan (now called Saddle Tan). I will probably get a new one in a darker brown sometime. Mine is over 5 years old now.

    First post!

Funny thing is, I work at Henry Bucks! I do have to say we have heaps of stuff on sale, though I reckon the cheap bargains have already gone by now, as the sale goes until this coming Sunday, when I go back to the store to pull the sale stuff apart. If you're ever up for a Stefano Ricci tie though, $150 or so isn't bad when they used to be $395 or 495! Got one for my dad lol

The reason that I did post however was to brag that I got the best buy ever on Saturday. I might work there, but it's now become so strict that we can't really go shopping for ourselves while we're working. Point is, I picked up this 100% Cashmere Henry Bucks brand sports jacket that used to be $1395 for $195! Must have been the last one left, and it was from a couple of seasons ago, but still I'm not complaining, for my first blazer!

There are a ton of ties that they've started to reduce to $25 now on a table upstairs at the front if you wander in.

s the unlucky country when it comes to
    buying reasonably priced goods

I'm tempted to go to the launch on Thursday night at Macquarie place to through my business card in and hope to win a suit. I'm sure they will get a cast of thousands though.

PS. The master tailor - had a chat with him the other day, seems like a great guy.
