Hey I was the one who was mistaken for a Guardsman now I'm going to have to go and put a hit out on fxh as well PoP you busy this weekend.? A friend who was in an artillery regiment has his old tie, its red with a jagged blue stripes on it, the stripe signifying the thunder of the guns.

Would we need to commit to buying the minimum before they worked on producing a new design?

no but if we don't do it then I'll get charged for the art set up. But we'll remedy that by putting a general fabric (i.e grenadine stripe/print/tussah) to a vote first and decide on what comes up trumps first. No point getting art done on a Macclesfield when the grenadine wins if you know what I mean. Of course we won't be able to please everyone but that's the way it goes with these things.

I'm personally pro a stripped grenadine. Could be done in Australian flag colours, it would be pretty subtle this way. I'm also interested in a navy, forest green and white stripe.

If you're happy with your suits, then you should have no problems.

I've been looked after by Nick and Leo (Sydney Strand Arcade) for a navy sports coat and a couple of pairs of trousers in differing mid-grey. They're all an excellent fit and, like you, I've found it an enjoyable experience

    ^ seconded

I feel grenadine adds just enough visual interest without being distracting [IMG]

@Journeyman , can I politely inquire as to who the university student is who is buying $1200 hardbottoms? I need to ingratiate myself with said person as soon as possible XD

Mate, $1,200 hardbottoms is the pleb life. I haven't even been outside these borders. #StruggleStreet.

You should ingratiate yourself with those people that casually fly to Hong Kong and swan around Ralph Lauren Purple label stores, or hop on over to Budhapest and snag BNWT Vass shoes - and then with the cash left over, can drop heavy on Canali. They're the kind of people you want to associate yourself with.

Have you had any notable drops lately?

I don't like telling people what to do with their money but if I were you facing Sydney house prices I'd be saving for a house or putting together a small share portfolio.

"Save" your money and buy a pair of Loakes instead.

I think most people will be in this boat too. While I love the shantung it's probably not business appropriate for all of the lawyers, bankers etc on here. We wan't something people will wear often not just sit in the closet.

But it the sake of fairness it'll still go in to the vote and we will see how it comes out. I'm going to put something together tonight and post so we can get some votes together.
