Wasn't aware they were in the franchising business. Very interesting indeed.

When I was in their flagship store 2 years back they said they were keen, but needed to set up a distribution centre in asia first - and Australia would come after the HK/Chinese/Japanese market.

    Very cool though!

I hazard a guess that the Armoury would have something.

You can get them easily from a store called The Groom. They mainly stock Saphir products, but they have others too.

Foxie, that's a nice casual outfit, but it's not Conservative Business Dress (CBD).

Very, very nice Gerry. I've found myself drifting more towards solids (am also wearing all solids today). I like this for a really clean look.

You need to re-watch the movie.

It's a serious compliment in the right circles of SWD, but not in Foxy's.

Yeah TOJ Number 5 just arrived, still waiting on 2, 3 and 4. Bit disappointed, a few dirt marks on it. Gotta give it a clean somehow.

i really like this look and it's one I've done for 'fancier' functions, only using my french navy suit rather than charcoal. I think the silver grenadine with white shirt looks awesome with almost any dark suit.

Super big fan of texture over pattern (ie, the solid fit). Patterns are a bit gaudy for me, but when sublte textures of wool, linen, cotton, etc really add to the outfit I think it's divine.

I visited the Shanghai store, which opened its doors four months ago. Amazingly good. Beautifully fitted out to emulate an old-style Shanghai lane-house apartment, with fabric and wooden textures everywhere. It even had the right smell, f'chrissakes. The staff were multilingual, sharply dressed, knowledgeable and helpful - a quadruple whammy of excellence in a city where even the Canali boutique hires lazy, surly staff whose resentment of their customers is only barely hidden under a thin veneer of obsequiousness.

Right now I'm verging on broke from my recent nuptials, but I was still persuaded by SuitSupply to scrape the very bottom of my credit-card barrel and find a few spare kuai for a purchase. Later I checked all the prices and found them to be within 5% of their online store. As someone else pointed out a few pages back, they'd immediately be competing with themselves if they tried any pricing hanky-panky.

If I were SuitSupply looking to open in Melbourne (franchise or direct), I'd be putting a store right on Gertrude or Smith Street. Second store a few months later in Greville Street. They are guaranteed to cane it, although with local rentals, shipping and salaries being what they are, caning it will be the only way to eke a profit at these price/value ratios.

Anyway, here's my faux-CBD outfit for today. I didn't actually wear the pocket square to work, as I was in a rush to get out the door and forgot all about it. Dang.

Yeah, I know. This is way too gay for reality CBD.
