Well maybe not as hot as your super shoes.

But seriously, Khao Soi cuisine is from north Thailand region such as Chiangmai. Main ingredient is bird's eye chilli. Guaranteed to brighten your day/put a rocket under you/etc.

In other news, now mulling a pair of Alden brogue shell boots #8. Do these ever go on sale?

The problem with Aldens is getting them shipped over from the US. If you have a proxy in the US, you can get yourself on The Shoe Mart mailing list for Alden irregulars and get the cheaper that way: http://www.theshoemart.com/contact/c-contact_irregular.html

Alternatively, Need Supply (http://needsupply.com/mens/brands/alden/indy-work-boot.html) and The Alden Shop of San Francisco (http://www.aldenshop.com/DrawOnePage.aspx?PageID=3) also ship. Shipping is $135 per pair of shoes for the latter!

The Brown Man is the expert on Alden lasts and fits.

This is also a useful resource:

I know this is WAY more than you asked for but hope it helps!

Yep but the same is pretty much true of a lot of online stores. Every month saba, country road, trenery have some sort of promotion. Herringshoes/pediwear usually have a monthly promo etc.

If only the 25% off extended to the multibuy, that would be a tidy nice saving

Thanks heaps Gerry. I am waiting for Tassels HK to open today and I will call them for their pricing. Probably be an eye-watering mouth-gaping experience.

For $667+$135= US$802 for the Alden, then Carmina also comes into consideration at EU$500. Unless you sell me your Lindricks, of course.

    Edit: also bloody Vass too.

No more sizes in Lindricks, as usual. Carmina does not have a brogue, and their online shop is hardly ever updated. Vass sizing is tricky. So that leaves Alden, Barrie last. Never realised it is so much hassle to get some horse ass. But these are brands on SF. Just wondering whether there are any other brands making shell boots out there.

I watched Chris Lilley's latest show last night. Safe to say, I don't realy get his type of humour. If I put myself in the position of someone who does find it funny, I still find it rather obvious and lazy. Anyone care to enlighten me as to why this guy is so popular?

Thanks mate, I'm concerned as to whether they'll be wide enough. Are there any other brands you could recommend I try locally?

Depends is he using a moulin à légumes and fresh truffle in his mash? Of course any civilised person would use organic milk butter and pink Murray River salt that is a given.
