With a $20 voucher(sign up as member online) to receive in conjunction with sale l picked up a pair of Witchery Navy Suede Chukkas for only $35.00. I have weather proofed them, and sure they are not in the same league as others but end of the day, they'll serve the purpose and look pretty good. I'm satisfied : )

    Thanks GF

Witchery are definitely jumping on the hipster band wagon. They along with CR have the potential to make great cheap staples when on sale, however they always fall short in either the aesthetic/quality or both.

Interesting suggestion, I can't say I had considered burgundy. Is there a particular reason you suggested it? Next question of course is, who makes a suitable burgundy tassel loafer?

And while I'm at it, is there anywhere I can try on Kimber's latest range? I've popped into Beggar Man a few times and they don't appear to be carrying any of his line.

Thanks, I like to think I'm funny, and I dress well. Not pulling anyone's leg.

Thanks for the link. My brother is getting Married in January. Unforunately his fiance(whom I still haven't decided If I like or not), is one of those girl's who thinks she knows how to dress men better than men know how to dress men. Even after my protesting, he went out and bought a black suit and ivory tie. Christ all fucking mighty. I shudder to think of the shirt that he will choose. But, he looks like he will listen to me on shoes, so I'm telling him to get these. Might get dad to get a pair too.

Sigh this is how it begins and within a year she will be leading him around the Myer sales, worse she could pack him off to Lowes picking out Gloweave shirts, Reserve chinos and then buying his underwear for him. You see these poor bastards being led around like castrated bulls as the wife throws things up against them then directs them to the changing rooms and of course he looks totally clueless as he is directed through the circles of Sartorial Hell. (shudder)

I'm pretty sure she's the reason I'm not in the wedding party.

You might able to try them at Henry Bucks. Otherwise try contact Christian via his Instagram or Tumblr. He should get back to you pretty quickly.
The versatility of brown suede Chukkas. My favourite shoe.

In Dress For Success, Molloy conducts a study where he allowed one group of women to dress the men (generally involving brighter, lighter colours) and another where they dress themselves (in darker, more conservative wear). The photographs were then shown to a second group of women.

Overwhelmingly the women found the men who dressed themselves more attractive.

Whilst Molloy concluded that women don't conceptually understand power dressing, I would argue that on a subconscious level the women choose ridiculous garbs as a mark of ownership.
