Nice shoe - subtle, serious, solid, grownup, workhorse but business like.

Should've guessed Fxh had a thing for IVY since he went to tailor 'Kink'-caid in Japan :)
Fxh how do you dress in terms of using Ivy elements in the way you dress?
    EDIT:
Yeah, Gerry missed like a bajillion pages of this thread as I have little flings with SF where I'll be off for a week; also post more 'fits' Gerry I miss e'm (what's it been, like 2 days?)!

Up the country last week.. Business plus sadly a funeral - hence black knit tie.

I really just grabbed this stuff as it was around and clean. Never put much thought into it - except tie - I'd not usually put this together this way. Before or again.

Anderson Little SC - vintage mid 60s - brown check tweed w green window pane. 3 button, flap pockets, half lined, no darts, small hooked vent, modest swelled edges.
Brooks Made in USA OCBD, blue uni stripe, very floppy collar - vintage.
High rise blue narrow wale cords - slim fit - narrow opening - no cuffs.
Wine OTC socks (if I had OTC subtle argyles I would have worn them I think)
    Brown Full Country Brogue shoes

(First time in my life I've never worn a dark suit and white shirt to a funeral. But it was the most low key affair held at his home and I just threw this stuff on without a thought except for my business context and I knew no one much would be dressed up. Even then I was one of only 3 blokes with a tie and one of the others had the standard very dark blue shirt, dark blue tie and ill fitting jacket.)

    1. Nabil's post on tumblr today was highly enjoyable for Mr. Dunne

    "
Anonymous asked: whenever i wear a cardigan with my shirt + tie, i have this collar gap that bugs me. is there a fix for this?
Sounds like what you need, is to take dressing less seriously; say hello to the person next to you, and ask how their day is going.
If the cardigan keeps you warm, keep it on. If it’s too warm, leave the cardigan off."

    2. So tempting to pick up another SM shirt, but while he's putting on the muscle, I'm eating the cookies.

    3. I think split toed shoes are really ugly!! Please, brothers, have some taste! How is that strong, ungainly division of a lovely last attractive?

    4. 4 weeks until Melbourne. Will be organising (or asking GN to help me organise) a mad get together.

Keen to hang? I'm arriving the 28th of June (late, though, like 11pm late) and leaving the 12/13th of July.

I've got a book for Pink Socks, a song or two for Gerry, a few stories and questions (Canada style) for iSurg (and some advice about glasses, my sight is getting worse :'(), and smiles and compliments for anyone I haven't met yet (most of you!).

Maybe that would be a good time to try a SF "pub crawl" that I've been mulling over. It would be around South Melbourne and go something like this:

    1. Start at Azzaro at the bottom of Clarendon St
    2. Head up to Napier St. If desired, drop into the Sacred Heart op shop on the way, if only to laugh at their prices.
    3. Down Napier St to Moray St to visit PJs.
    4. Back to Clarendon, turn right and go to Beggar Man Thief. Check out the Kimber chukkas, Loakes, Grensons er al
    5. Further up Clarendon to the Salvos. Surprisingly good chance of a find at this one.
    6. Over to the Market and check out The Canny Man, BMT's outlet. Loakes and Grensons around $250.
    7. South Melbourne Market dim sum, followed by coffee at St Ali.

I believe that Sator is actually Blahman, and is no longer around. :)

Seriously, he hasn't posted for years, and last visited about 6 months ago.
