    Welcome back, spectre.

Did I read that you worked as a journo? If so, where abouts?

As for AT, I know that people have different experiences there. Mine have all be positive.

The shoes I have are tassle loafers - which I'm now on the fence about - from Herring's Premier range, the Matisse. Also the Charlton loafer from their Classic range, although it seems the dark brown suede has disappeared or is out of stock.
They are all nice, the tassles in particular are beautiful, made by Cheaney, but they are another purchase I could have done without.

^^ Thanks, there seems to be a Boggi shop in London on Jermyn St--I'll be there in Sept, so I think I will add it to my list.

Yes, sportswriter at Australian Associated Press covering mainly Formula One, tennis, golf and AFL, which is sadly inescapable. Used to write a syndicated style column, some of which can still be read on Ludlows web site. Looking at them now they are a bit dated and my ideas have changed a little.

    I understand about American Tailors.

JM-Oh no I was just starting a conversation a while back as some people where talking about going Hidetaka Fukaya for bespoke; entirely theoretical sadly....trying to save up but at times I feel like it is absolutely worth it and other times as if I have gone full retard as I'll be buying shoes which cost around 3-4,000.

No need to apologies at all regarding the EG and Carmina lasts; I have only been to DubMonk once as it is a pain to get there as I live in an annoying place. Tried some Crockett Jones on but didn't have much time to spend and we couldn't find anything particularly good as I have slim heels which are hard to fit. Next time I'm there will be sure to check out the 202 as it is a particularly fetching last in my eyes (especially on the chelsea) and if it fits great; who knows I might walk out with a little debt on my hands. The rain last doesn't fit me tried on at AM and they seemed fairly nice about it; though I'm not a big fan of Carmina lasts as too much elongation looks awkward on my feet.

    P.S.
Tobias any word on the ties?

I just picked up some Rain last full brogues.

Wider in the fore-foot and more elegant than the simpson last but perhaps a smidge too wide for me (laces are tightened all the way) but heel is perfect (narrower than Robert last) for me.

either way its the best fitting Carmina last ive tried to date for my foot (ive now got simpson, robert, rain)

Does anyone have a stake in, or know anyone who owns or runs any venues in/around the Melbourne city suitable for a stand-up oriented show? I'm looking for venue options to do a show in the Fringe Festival this year, provided I can get it together by then! Anyway, I don't need a big space, not even a nice one, just a space that'll help me break even and thought I'd put it out there in this community.

Trades Hall has some rooms that they use for the comedy festival.

Looking good Romp. PS I recall you were looking to bring out some corduroys this winter, cut from the same pattern as your O&J chinos. Do you still have plans for them or is Suit Shop (understandably) taking up all your time these days?
