Recently uses Oakbark leather conditioner to deepen the colour of a belt I got from the UK to good effect. The reverse is well worn the front has faded will post a pic of tonight.

Yes it won't darken when the conditioner dries out. Most necessary. What a treat to wear something worn by you old man in the war. Ultimate vintage! :fistbump:

Gentlemen, I just received some fabric from Acorn, which I'm rather excited about. I'm going to hand it over to my tailor and have it make up into a few shirts.

Here are a couple of photos:

Acorn revised their website a few months back and it is now very, very quick and easy to order fabric from them.

I ordered a sky blue poplin from the "Monarch" line and two different types of oxford cloth, anchor yellow and bengal pink.

I'll have the first two pieces of cloth made up into shirts with Italian-style, wide spread collars and the latter piece made up into a shirt with a button-down collar, as I've been wanting a pink-and-white striped OCBD for quite some time now.

I can't say I'd wear mine in a civilian getup. Even after removing all but the waist strap, it's still going to have a few odd looking 'D' rings on it. Here is mine from my army days, quite a strange item to photograph and the brass hasn't been polished since it was last worn. It is made from some of the best leather I've seen.

If you keep your jacket on in most situations I think you will get very used to suspenders. Think about the design of a belt, it is made to hold a vertically aligned garment horizontally so naturally suspenders are a lot more comfortable.

    RIP Ravi Shankar.

Always a class act in the nehru-like pop over.

Well, I just picked up a blue Oxford button-down and 2 great ties from he-whom-unarmed-bandit-hates and can happily confirm that I will be continuing to use his services in the future.

    Chill.

Just letting everyone know I got an EIP invite to the latest net-a-porter sale (female version of Mr PO) which is 50% off everything not marked new season or essential. I am happy to proxy for anyone in Sydney if anyone needs anything for the gf/wife.
