Probably some synthetic blend... like a crazy/longer version of Raf's hairy cardigan.

He probably assumed you were buying/selling when you said "trading" as opposed to actually swapping items.

Should all my dress pants be slim fit or is it ok to get straight fit?

nah m8, he said, "trading on the internet seems pretty sketch" lol.

@Skwalihd: It's your preference. If your top is slim, I'd go for slim bottom, vice versa.

Really newbie question, but where exactly is your waist?

Are you supposed to measure across the hip bones, or above that? Relative to your bellybutton, where should you be measuring?

Oh sorry I thought you were buying something. Well if he is on this forum maybe you could both send your items to another member who would forward both items once they are received. The middle man could leave the package untouched and ship it in another package to guarantee no "harm" could have been done. Sounds like a hassle but hey it's just an idea lol. Again make sure you have detailed photos and ask any questions you have before the transaction occurs.

Your true waist is just right above your navel.
But if you're buying pants, you just measure where they usually sit. Then it goes into vanity sizing. Like with Naked and Famous denim, you would measure where you like your pants to sit, then look up which size to buy. For example, I'm a true 32" waist, so I should usually buy size 30 waist jeans. I wear weirdguys though so I go two sizes down. What I've found is that your jean size is usually 2" down from your true waist, but a simple google search "[brand] sizing" will do you well.

You can probably just get a navy m65 or mechanics jacket and wax it yourself, probably come out much cheaper depending on what jacket you're getting.

Good idea, but still sounds risky to me. There needs to be some sort of online service for this or something.

Who makes the slimmest OTR shirts? Ideal measurements would be something like 19" flat across the chest, 21" sleeve length (pit to cuff). I'd go with Ratio, but they're out of my price range at the moment.

Edit: I'm 6'1" and 140 lbs, if that helps.

I know square shoes are a no no, but i am curious about these cole haans, they taper down to be skinny but they aren't rounded, they have a squareish finish at the end. Are these acceptable?

While I don't think such shapes are a problem when properly executed they're much harder to pull off, you're better off trolling ebay for alden's or saving a bit and buying a pair of meermins
