storing books upright, not to tight, perfectly lined, wall sized bookshelves, behind glass, low temperature and humidity.

I love books and have way too many of them. furthermore, i think books are beautiful objects, at least many of them. I have bookshelves in every room of my house -- including my guesthouse which has floor-to-ceiling bookshelves along two walls -- and still have books stacked on the floor (honest, perhaps, but really difficult to dig through, especially since the one book you really need to have is always 2/3 of the way down the stack).

I think that's where sapien bookshelf really helps. I don't think it's dishonest design since it redresses major pitfalls without losing its visual aesthetics (I fill up the bottom column so the stacks don't appear levitating). But I also do have a few small stacks scattered around the house.

As a proponent of dishonest living, I glue all my books to the ceiling.

Are toilets also obstructive to honest living? I hear you can just make piles on the floor.

I was pissed off that I couldn't get a wall hung toilet. I mean, I could have, but we'd have had to reroute a gas line and it would have turned it into a $2500 toilet.

My wife vetoed the wall-hung. I shouldn't listen to her on remodeling decisions.
