They don't. These are nothing like any surplus boot. If anyone can find I pair, I'll rescind my statement. Otherwise, my statement is this: You people are idiots.
Exactly, I tried looking everywhere I possibly could and couldnt find anything.. If you want this look, you'll have to fork up the cash.. which might not be that bad via all the sales going around..

hahaha. C'mon, man. These look absolutely nothing like the w&h boots. I mean, i guess they're both boots in a way.

wut? They're fairly similar, down to where the vamp (the front leather piece) meets the quarter (the heel piece). Only differences are pebble-grain leather vs. smooth and that the Brandos don't look nearly "used and abused" off the rack.

Speaking of boots, when will the Buttero work boots go on sale at Barneys? I need a pair of beater work boots and is seriously considering the Buttero brown suede boots.

The owens boots are hot, too bad they dont make em in black

I have the Owens in Maple and I love them. The quality and craftsmanship are superb and I think they're going to have a long life. Also, they do make them in black.

The non engineer brandos (lace up one whacked pictured) are one the black option to the far right of the color options in sz 10.5. It seems these 2 type of boots were mixed togeather due to similar name.

I beat the fuck out of my shoes so I get the feeling that my PS Ricards will end up looking W+H shoes by the end if the year.

EDIT: WTF 2 year old thread bump?

The leather still doesn't look at all comparable. For me, half of the boot's appeal is the nubuck.

I'm sure someone has another suggestion, they've had 1.5 years to think about it.

Totally different. The toe box is 1/4" less flat.
