Heard about their new store in Paris and was kind of interested. Any idea whether they do men's wallets and card cases?

Moynat was a defunct French line that has apparently been revived. I believe the company was known primarily for its well-made steamer trunks and competed with the likes of Goyard and Louis Vuitton. They supposedly make a handbag now that is unique because it has small as well as large handles so the bag can be worn as a purse or shoulder bag - I believe the design was patented.

I find it interesting how all of these companies are now primarily known for making skimpy purses with the canvas lining that was once used to decorate their luxurious steamer trunks.

I'm in Paris for the week and was trying to decide whether to pay the store a visit. I kind of like the fact that they are currently unavailable anywhere else. I happen to be in the market for a new card case but would want leather...

Perhaps I'll walk over tomorrow. I went to Goyard the other day but was disappointed that leather is available by special order only (and I'm not about to pay 800 euro for a card case). Hopefully that's not the case with Moynat.
