My guess is you're right on both counts technical and fiscal.

"Blah blah blah"...Cry more, guy...lol..I regret that you had to strain your brain to read more than 4 words in a post...didnt mean to torture whats left of that poor brain of your's even more...we all saw how hard it was for you the first time..but I took it easy on you this time...is that better, friend?

BTW, you could've saved us all from wasting alot of time if you just worry about your own shoe preferences and quit worrying and whining about what u thought were the preferences of other men.

Can we stop now? It's a new week and a new month, for crying out loud.

Let's see some shoe pics now. Even the ugly ones!

Exactly, my man..MY definition of "pushing the envelope" has nothing to do with any other asshat's preferences.. Thats MY opinion...and i do feel that AE is doing a great job of pushing the envelope with new styles this year...whats crazy about this is that I never even said I liked any particular style itself. Just a simple statement showing my appreciation for the general direction AE is headed, and for being willing to try new things...Ive seen others make the same exact statement here, and they werent verbally accosted for it by this blaster guy...why he has targeted me is beyond my comprehension.. But something about my show of appreciation here (IN THE AE APPRECIATION THREAD), seemed to have sent this guy over the edge. Moreover, why anyone would take time out of their day to disrupt the thread with their petty disagreement with MY opinion is beyond me. Not sure why he can't be happy wearing and appreciating whatever he likes, and let others wear and appreciate what they like.

I agree Pep..wish I was never targeted in the first place...we could've all been appreciating shoe pics were it not for the troublemakers among us.

Posted these a few times in fits, but recently had them up at the cottage with me, so I took a few.

Received in March, well worn, haven't touched them, not even a brushing. Tan Dublin LB.

THIS is what I'm talking about. Polo, your makeups represent some of the very best of the original MTO era.

Sad to say the countretemps in this thread pushed me to another maker this morning ;)

Polo, are the saddle shoes, spectators and woven shoe all MTOs?

Right now AE is having a special "sale" on shell where you can order any shoe they make, other than hand sewn, in shell with any sole, for only the usual shell charge.
I ordered a pair of Yorktown in brown shell, with the Orville Redenbacher soles, and was pleasantly surprised at the the price.

E does do recrafting on Allen Edmonds shoes bought from other retailers. When in doubt call their customer service line and ask before you buy the shoe.
But I have bought several pairs that I have had recrafted.

Resolve carpet stain remover spray, AJAX dish washing soap (this worked the best, but still nowhere near able to remove it all), ammonia + dish soap + water combo, & a rug doctor (useless)... Looks like I'm stuck with a groovy-purple carpet...

Nice! I ordered a Bartlett in shell yesterday, but the Yorktown was my backup.

I just thrifted a pair of Allen Edmonds "Commuter" for $20. Anyone have them? Any info about material, quality, etc. would be great.
