I would use a suede protector before wearing outside. If that thing gets dirty and needs to be cleaned it will be extremely difficult to wash it

I don't like the edging tough. I prefer the natural edge on my Walnut Strands.

Wow, yeah. Do they do that on all the BB versions? Why would they cover it up like that?

Sorry, I 'm new to goodyear welts. What is this edge? By the way, these shoes are dark brown

That probably explains why the edge (the edge going around the shoe) is "painted" dark brown. It looked Walnut to me.

Ooh, I just realized Lent starts tomorrow. Looking down at my stomach, I should be giving up carbs and beer, but I wonder if I should go hardcore and give up shoe shopping?

Ahh got it. Yeah, the lighting definitely made the shoes look a lot lighter.

Going back to the topic of the creases, are they typical wear and tear and nothing to worry about or would it affect the last later on?

Congrats! I love mines as well. Though, I bought them from the ShoeBank for $187 a few weeks ago. [IMG] No regrets though, as they are very comfy. I sprayed mines with Tarrago Nano Protector and have worn them in the snow twice already -- snow just slides off them like sand.

Thanks. Nothing disappointing about that at all. It's amazing what you do with composition and light.

Don't give up beer or shoes. Just my opinion.

The last is used during the construction of the shoe, it is removed when the shoe is complete. The creases bother some, doesn't bother others so it's a personal preference. I've never really been bothered by it, the shoes will change a bit as you wear them. No sense in buying them if you don't wear them.

So many chukkas - since last week, I've gotten three pairs in the mail: natural shell Dundees, burgundy shell Dundees, and brown shell Bleeker Streets

    Cross-post from the MTO thread.
I thought I could keep these on the down low, but apparently I am too excited. Sorry, Ryan.
