Bro, I have to admire your ingenuity (and nads), but is it really that much of a drag to wear loafers through security? Or to take the boots on and off? I used to fly four times a month for my old job, and found that the speed hooks made it easier when i wear my long branches. Also, applying for pre-check could make your life a little easier. Nevertheless, good on you for being game to try something unorthodox!

Yeah, that's kind of the reaction I expected! [IMG]

As the self appointed Honorable Dictator for Life of the Long Branch Fan Club, I hereby declare this a solution in such of a problem. [IMG]. With the speed hooks, I can get in and out of mine faster than any other laceups shoes..

But I applaud you for really exploring the space.

Here are some better shots of the new Odenwalds. I just used some AE Leather Lotion and they are good to go.

I think I'm going to like these a lot for weekend wear with jeans.

Welp, that code definitely wasnt for a discount...lol...must be a postal code or something they use to sort mail at the post office. Kinda relieved, i really didnt need to be enticed to spend any more money at this time. Because that sure was what was about to happen..lol

The time is nearing to recraft my black McTavish. I'd like to make them a little more casual and was thinking about a lighter welt and edge, not sure if I want to go all the way down to natural though. Also a rubber sole, be it V- tread or Dainite as I'm not too pleased with how the leather has worn. Is a natural edge as tough to keep clean as it looks?

I think I have seen pictures of black shoes so configured posted here. Anyone have any thoughts or visual aids? Thanks.

I have not had trouble keeping any of my natural edges clean to date...I plan on redoing my black shell leeds the same way when the time comes.

So where yours says $50 off mine says 15% off your purchase... I guess it only went out to some customers.

Not sure if they makes me a good customer or a big sucker :)

Can we share codes? If so, feel free to PM me and I'll share my 15% code. Funny thing is I bought some accessories last week and forgot to use it myself. Oh well!

    Thanks.
So it's still 40% off? Wondering if it's a good time to get some shoe care products from them.

My own purchases are nearing an end as I've built a collection I love and can live with. Still have 6 items coming...
    mto Bellevue natty CXL
    Gmto Long Branch
Trunk show - 2 Leeds, natural and bottle green, 1 First Street natural
    RDA Fairmont loafer

Always a few fringe items interest me, and each time I visit these forums, I come away wanting something...but with a packed closet, it gets easier to admire items from afar.

Anyway, the irony is that I can only wear 50% of my collection anytime soon.

Any news on upcoming shell seconds sales (i.e., 299 or 325)? I was pumped to finally see some shells in my size on shoe bank that I actually like, but I'm not about to pay $500 because I'm cheap. Or maybe I shouldn't, it would be my first pair of shells...
