In lieu of polish, try VSC - it makes that navy leather really pop.

Good eye. It most certainly does not, hence the pictures of the one shoe. They're going back.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I just needed some confirmation that I wasn't crazy.

The best pair of bourbon that I've had was the university, others have been really bad. I think the Brown Fifth Ave is very sharp in case you want to get something else.

BRB. Buying flat laces for my dark brown PAs. Those look great! It actually takes away a bit from the stubbiness.

Those are beautiful. Keep us posted with pics. Cordovan folds and IMO is better suited for derby style shoes...the folds take away from the sleekness of an Oxford style shoe. Again, just my opinion.

I've got those on right now.

I'd like a pair between brown and the walnut, but brown (not chili). I thought that would be the bourbon. Any other suggestions? I'm certainly not tied to the fifth avenue, although I do wear a c.

Hey do you guys size your shoes differently if you're going to wear sockless? dress socks for captoes and finally thick socks?

I've been lurking around for a bit and finally decided to make an account :)

I have a question regarding quality of AE shoes. I bought one from amazon and there was this cut on it so I asked for a refund and decided to go to a store and buy it since there may be better quality. I get home from purchasing one and there's the same kind of cut but in a different section. I've highlighted the area but it seems odd that there's the same type of cut from 2 separate sources unless there were some kind of QC issues. it might be a bit hard to see but you can get a bigger picture from clicking on the picture. I'm going to have to exchange it this weekend and probably have to take a closer look at the shoes before I leave the store this time.
