Thanks! Just anticipating the RDA sale coming up! Wardrobe would be business casual and dark washed jeans.

    Thanks again!

I chose the Walnut with grey today. I know some here are not big fans of this combination, but I like it.

Quote:The Lexington would probably be a good pick up at $250. Could maybe go with a Walnut or Bourbon color since you have a Merlot shoe already. Honestly, whatever you think you'll like and wear the most.

Love it. Walnut works best with greys IMO

Does AE have different Split reverse welt heights? I see some that are pretty high and some low profile? Also wearing my Alden NST boots today and there is a second set of stiching on the welt..I forget what it is called at the moment but does AE offer that also?

E has something similar...go to the website and play around with the options for custom shoes...pick say Leeds as the base option and you will see one welt option that is similar.

Trying to decide on my next pair of AEs. Looking for something slightly more on the casual side to be worn with chinos (navy/khaki). Right now I have:

    Walnut Strands
    Bourbon McAllisters
    Brown Moras
    Black Park Aves

Non-AEs: Kent Wang Brown Suede Chukkas, Alden Brown CXL PTB

Any recommendations? Currently thinking about the Rush Streets but looking around for other options still.

Wow this is such an easy one I can even answer that! Brown Bayfield Boots in Shell Cordovan...perfect for Chinos in Navy and Khaki! And lucky for you there is a GMTO going on right now for them!

Thanks! I tried it on yesterday but the sizing made it clownish

Anyone here order/return the 11.5D Daltons in burgundy shell that are on the Shoe Bank? I'm wondering if the defects were bad enough to warrant someone's return, as they were up during the shell sale, disappeared, and now are back again. My SA is willing to honor the sale price, so I'm wondering if these are a good pickup.

I've seen reviews that the Daltons run both long and narrow. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

The Rush Street is a great shoe, but you're heavy on bals and you don't have anything "red" (merlot/burgundy/chili). How about a MacNeil in burgundy shell?

I was thinking that too as I don't have anything red. I would love to own a pair of burgundy shell but don't think I'll ever let myself pay full price for a pair. Are shells discounted in the RDA sale? I am not sure if I have seen chili in person before but I do like that color as well.

They aren't in that RDA flyer, but they and all the other shell shoes should be down to $552.50, if not less, during the sale.

Strongly suggest one of the McTavishes. I have 11 pairs of AE now, and they are easily my current favorites. See below, top row, second and third from right

Hmm that's a possible choice. Are the ones you have the cognac?
