Who knows if they will actually fit though! Ordered 11B (my measured size) in the Bayfield and 10.5B in the Tresana which is what he recommended. Never tried either last on so I took a bit of a punt and Edward at Freeport (who is terrific by the way) helped me with sizing.

    $100 actually :embar:

They are included in the 2 for 200 sale.

Pretty sure there was still a 1st bayfield left in 10.5B and 11B in brown Chromexcel when I called too. Also a 1st tresana (this was in the morning though.)

Picked up chromexcel brown Bayfields and walnut Player's just for the hell of it since I really do not need anymore boots (I think I already have 13 boots) or walnut shoes (I think I have 8 tan shoes); however, for the price it was hard to pass off.

That is a great set of purchases, but the Tresana in Cabernet brown is calf, not shell. It's still a great shoe (I have them in that color).

    Well done!

Yes they said that Cordovan is used on their system for the shoes merely as a colour descriptor, even though it already has "Cabernet". Hmm. Cordovan materials would've been too good to be true!

Whoa, those are some nice shoes! Are those the standard cordovan colour from AE or did you change them afterwards because I cannot find anything like this "black cherry" colour on their website.

This is my first post on the forum after lurking for maybe a year and half now. Have learned quite a few things from everyone including moving away from cheap dress shoes to proper and yet very comfortable AE Park Aves which I have enjoyed for almost a year now.

Hoping to expand my collection soon with something like the colour you guys have posted. Thanks in advance on any info!

Nice PAs! Did you "bull" the cap toe? Or did you use another method?

So if I had to pick two of these three shoes, which do people recommend:

    Vinci
    Cerreto
    Bel Air

I'm thinking Vinci, because Jubei recommends it so strongly, and it is a plain toe. Kind of torn between the Bel Air and the Cerreto. I think the Cerreto is a little too out there for me.

Great looking PAs! For some reason, the toecap on yours looks much longer and pointier than mine. Perhaps its because of my shoe size (8.5D)

I was thinking just that; the shape of these PAs looks particularly elegant but I know it is only an illusion

At that price, any Seven Collection shoe in your size would be a steal.

The Vinci is my favorite shoe right now, whatever you decide post pics.

I wore my new Walnut Jeffersons today for the first time. All I did was apply AE's leather lotion out of the box and brush them, then let them dry for a couple of days. They were extremely comfortable!

Thanks, I used spit-polish - habit picked up from para-military training in my youth along with proper shirt ironing.. lol

I don't think they are too different. 9.5D size.
Yep, probably combination of crappy cell camera quality + angle I took the pics at.

Whatever the case, they look great. Nice job.

The "black cherry" was referencing the shell cordovan color of my cap-toe bluchers yesterday, AE calls them the "Sanford." That color is no longer available (gone in the early '90's I think), though their burgundy shell cordovan sometimes comes out looking a lot like that color. The cap-toe balmorals that Iratecustomer posted yesterday is another oldie, but goodie - those are made from AE's "polished cobbler" calfskin leather.

Today, I'm wearing Dalton boots in walnut shell cordovan (with reverse, water-lock welt). I love how these are completely unlined, and therefore can be worn even on warm-ish days. (plus the smell of a 100% unlined shell cordovan boot is outstanding!)
