"Here are some shoes we left outside for a year and then ran over with a garbage truck a few times.... how does $2000 sound?"

Sheesh. Wish I could unsee that.

Well, I'd say you're off to a ripping start. I'm eight pairs in this year (my first year) and setting my sights on a ninth.

    My advice.... run!!

I am leaning in this direction, but may end up splurging for first quality. I did inquire about seconds but, even though the pair inspected by my SA of choice is rated 8.5, it's Christmas and, heck, I deserve it. Well, probably not, but that's what I'm telling myself at the moment. Also, I guess I'm willing to pay the premium to receive instant gratification (and shoe bags). My local retail SA smells blood in the water and is holding several pairs for me. I'm going in to do a show-down between LB and HM maybe tomorrow morning since I am not working. The brown CXL HM is still singing me a siren song.

Not AE, but Brooks sale. Peak & Co Brooks Tartan wool slippers:

They were kind of narrow when I first put them on, but they loosened up within a couple minutes

Trees at the outlets are 2 for $25 right now. Have been since at least a week ago.

Woodlore or AE trees? I'm in the market either way, is there a link?

The perspective might be a little off in the picture, but my 8's are 11 1/2 to 11 5/8; definitely 11 5/8 if I measure the other way and curve the tape measure to match the curve of the sole.

So certainly yours are not 6.5's. The must have been mislabeled. Not common, but its happened before.

AE trees. Same company makes both though.

I don't think its advertised anywhere, and to clarify I'm not sure when its going to end. Probably when they clear up enough inventory. My SA told me when I popped in early this month. Cheapest she's ever seen them.

Actually, I think they're really $12.50, cause they didn't force me to buy an even amount.

I'd be more than happy to slap an AE logo on my Brooks Ravennas [IMG]

I have 9D's on the way so my Olive SD's in 9E are up for grabs - unworn, not a single flaw. Happy to post some pics if anyone is interested.

Offering them up here before requesting a return through eBay.

Good idea, though they aren't in my size. I can't even find what last they are on, any idea? They must fit roomy.

    Those Jeffersons are glorious.... @gm928

    Well said. @SLCRich

@orange fury At first I thought: only great companies give their shoes names, but it could be better said that we only remember the names of the great shoes. As long as you aren't giving them a name yourself.... (My precious??) [IMG] Enjoy your marathon!

Ah I wasn't aware the outlets had them at an additional mark down from their usual. I know they are "seconds" trees but given that they are in a shoe... hard to care much about wood imperfections.
