Theoretically, yes. That is where the ball should sit.

From the pic, I'd go with snuff but would also consider what you plan on pairing them with. I've had a pair of snuff chelseas for several years and recently added a chocolate chukka as I often found myself wanting something darker.

I vote for snuff; I think it's more versatile.

Hi guys, I'm Looking for suggestions on a versatile second casual shoe that I can alternate with dark denim or chinos for work as well as going out. I already have the strandmok in brown and was debating between a second pair of strandmoks in navy or a pair of neumok 2.0's in blue. I'm not too keen on the other neumok 2.0 colors offered at this time. I would love if the mctavish came back but I guess the neumok has replaced them. Any opinions?

Check out the unlined chukka on MassDrop right now. Can't beat that price.

Agree. I'm almost glad they don't have E's - things are complicated enough ;)

Looks like you want a blue colored shoe. Take a look at the navy blue Neumok. It's on clearance for $199. Sizes are limited though. It's a casual shoe that goes with denim and chinos.

Just got back from business travel and my grey strands are here. I believe the grey belt I ordered from Mezlan should be here tomorrow as well so I'll get pics of both as soon as I have a chance this weekend. My wife doesn't know about these so getting a picture could be risky. :)

When my wife looks down to see if I have new shoes I bark, "Hey! I'm up here!", which makes her mad because that what she says when guys stare at her boobs. Works every time.

The shoe bank has my size in both the brown and navy neumok for $157. Torn between which color.

In regards to the mass drop chukkas I wear a 9.5E in the 65 last. Would a 9.5D be a good choice in the 511 last?

I personally would not recommend a D when you are an E, as the shoes are not just narrower but shorter. With the E you gain both width and length. On a MD boot there are no refunds. For the Neumok I love my blue ones! The tan to me is just blah...Nordstroms Hillfire is better.

Quote:If you're talking about the original Neumok in navy, AE used a waxy leather that was dark and somewhat flat-looking to my eye. I returned the pair I bought. In my opinion, the "apache" blue leather they use for the Strandmok is much richer looking. The navy CXL leather they use for the Neumok 2.0 is yet another thing entirely. Hard to tell from the photos how dark it is. The distressed brown leather that AE used for the original Neumok looks sharp. As for the chukka . . . for what it's worth, I wear a 6 EEE in the 65 last and a 6.5E in the 511 last. You might consider going down a half size; not sure about the width. Tough call with a final sale.
