I would just keep them. Nordstrom has an amazing return/exchange policy. They'll gladly exchange the shoes if they turn out to be a defective pair. I bought a pair of black Park Avenues on last year's Anniversary Sale. 9 monthes after I bought them, they turned out to be a defective pair and they gave me a brand new pair. You have nothing to lose...

So I ended up with an most-new pair of mismatched old-school Lexingtons in a 10.5 E and 12 E. I got them for free. What should I do with them?

Pretty sure AE partnered with this organization recently, too.

Those look great! I have a pair of walnut Rogues from the Shoebank that could use a similar treatment. They were slightly mismatched to start, and then I neglected to wear my work boots when I should have... What did you use? Thanks, Tom

My loving wife got me a gift card to AE that will easily get me 2 pairs of shoes (maybe 3 at shoe bank). I was hoping to solicit some ideas to round out my closet. I have some others but won't list them as they don't get much wear (old, poor quality)

    Here's what I have:

    Black PA
    Brown burnished PA
    Walnut Strands
    Bourbon Dalton

Normal work attire is a very relaxed back business casual. I only wear suits 5-10 times a year for various events.

    Suggestions?

Thanks! Basically a series of alternating light coats of neutral, chili, Bob's Chili (all from AE), and cognac and navy (from meltonian).

Check post #8657 for more info.

I would get the Merlot McAllister firsts at the $197 price, and would probably add a loafer

@RVA19 I really like the new offerings for laid back biz casual. Check out the Academy, Alumnus, and Higgins Mill. May want to wait for the RDA sale coming up in early fall.

Thanks.. I've had my eye on those for a while. Any loafer recommendations? I don't have an AE location close by to check them out in person.

They don't get a huge amount of love here, but I have brown and navy suede Cavanaughs- I love them both. The navy will get more play in the fall/winter, but the brown is my go to with chinos.

    That's one awesome wife!

Get a loafer and the Chili Rogue that's in clearance. Merlot is awesome and since they aren't making it I'd get merlot and bourbon if you can find them.

If you don't own a casual shoe, do yourself a favor and get one. I'm almost certain if a Neumok or Strandmok would have been my first shoe, I'd own multiples of each. These are amazing

Can anyone comment on a fit comparison between the Rogue and the Warwick monk? Both are on the same 201 last. The Rogue, being a blucher lace, is good for my high instep and I am not sure how the Warwick compares. Thanks in advance for any comments.
