I've decided to become a clothing snob and attempt to make all my future neckties seven folds. That said, could someone confirm for me if any or all of these ties are seven-folds? Kiton Ties (Japanese Site) Thanks..

I guess it all depends on how pedantic you want to be, but to my knowledge, none of the Kiton ties are true seven folds. It was either Chuck or FIH that draws the distinction between a true seven fold and a double four fold. All of the Kiton's I've seen are double four folds.

Both are considered "7-folds" by the vast majority of the population. The difference is that a true seven fold will have no lining, whereas a double four fold will. Neither is superior over the other, but they will handle differently and tie a different knot.

Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.
