Advice for new wardrobe; mtm or rtw at my budget?

    Yes, but a quick look at ebay will reveal that the majority of top end suits for sale there are far from ugly.

    Thanks for all the help I've received on this board.

    For what its worth, here's where I am so far:

    Attolini navy suit ($1,000)
    Corneliani gray suit ($400)
    Alden cordovans via brooks brothers ($400)
    Sargent dress shoes via brooks brotheres ($215)

    Working on shirts and ties, and probably need to pick up one more suit. One thing that really burned was alterations. Didn't want to chance it with my nice suit, ended up spending about $130 on alterations for the Attolini (new york city)
